Spend 5 minutes (or less) blowing out the top of your hair, concentrating on getting lift to the front. Use a dab of Shu Uemura Clay Definer to mold the top and flatten the sides and back. A masculine, retro look. Hint: carry Clay Definer with you - it's a product you can reapply before you meet the gang for cocktails.

I like to spray my hair section by section with Rene Furterer Vegetal Lacquer, then put hot rollers in. Gives me lots of hold and bounce without looking overset.

Squeeze excess moisture or even better towel dry your hair after shampooing and BEFORE applying your conditioner in the shower. For people with finer hair focus on conditioning the mid lengths and ends, thicker hair- roots as well.

Tonucia shampoo by Rene Furterer is my favorite recommendation for natural volume and condition.

To maintain healthy shiny hair, invest in a natural boar bristle brush like a Mason Pearson. The night before you shampoo, brush your scalp. Start by taking 2-inch sections, roll the brush along your scalp and drag the oils from your scalp through to the ends. Do this for 10 to 15 minutes. This process will condition the ends, exfoliate your scalp and bring blood circulation and nutrients to the living folicle of your hair to promote healthier hair growth.

Trying to maintain volume through a blow dry can be tricky . Try towel drying or blotting the hair to remove excess moisture. This will definitely cut down on time and aid styling product application, rough dry the hair. Pay specific attention to the roots, this promotes volume. Always let the hair cool on the brush and remember once its dry, its dry.
